Did a.net ever state whether or not the global damage reduction from one piece of knights armor was a glitch or not?

If you look at the current description for Knights/Ascalon armor at the armor crafter, you will see that it says "Non Stacking" for the absorption.

It's global and they fixed it by changing the description.
